The pin is the main parking entrance supplied by NPS, not the toilet door or GPX start. Follow the signed approach to the main parking area, then the trail start. NPS lists free parking, with the main lot open 8 a.m. to sunset. Bring all your water; phone service may be unreliable in the canyon.
